She was diagnosed with heartworm disease, which suggests that she did not receive the preventative care she needed in her former home. The good news is that Prada has Guardian Angels! The cost of her treatment at the SHS Veterinary Clinic has been fully covered. It will be scheduled after Prada has had a chance to settle in to her new home. They are typically very affectionate towards people and children, and thrive as members of the family. Prada will not do well as an outdoor pet. The pit bull's lack of body fat and short coat leaves them little insulation against cold weather, and they can quickly overheat in warmer temperatures.
