Chloe is CUTE! This three year dachshund mix was surrendered to a city animal control officer and brought to the shelter with her puppies. The young family was placed into foster care so that they could get ready for their new home. The puppies all have homes, so now it's mom's turn. Chloe's foster mom can't say enough good things about her. She is a wonderful dog who loves to sit in your lap and be petted. She is gentle, but she also has a spunky side. She managed to get over a baby gate to visit with her foster parents' dogs. Chloe is doing very well with her crate training and is well on her way to becoming housetrained. This sweet girl deserves a second chance for health and happiness. She has tested positive for heartworm disease, which suggests that she did not get the preventative care she needed in her former home. She also has dental disease and will need to have her teeth professionally cleaned. The cost of her heartworm treatment at the SHS Veterinary Clinic has been covered by generous Guardian Angels. Her treatment will be scheduled after she has been adopted and can adjust to her new home. The cost of her first dental cleaning will be added on her adoption for a total cost of $150 (plus the cost of extractions and medication, if needed). $150 for this special dog is a steal!
