Madilyn was found as a stray and her hold was way overdue when the animal control officer reached out to us for help. The A/C had picked up Madilyn several times, but this time, nobody came looking for her. Madilyn is such a happy dog, always wearing a smile and wagging her tail. She absolutely loves playing outside! She would make an excellent jogging or hiking partner. She gets along well with other large dogs, and she is crate trained. UPDATE 4/29/xxxx: Maddie comes immediately when called. She will wait in the car with the door open until called out. Maddie is very smart and knows sit, stay, and quickly understands whatever it is you want of her. She is the sweetest, most loving girl who never met a stranger. She is a very clean girl and will wait hours to be allowed outside (at night). Her separation anxiety seems to be waning. If Nigel (her foster brother)is with her, Maddie just goes to sleep when they are left alone. She loves her crib mattress bed and will often "go to bed" at night before anyone else. We had her at a recent Paws event (last Saturday) and she did very well. She was friendly to all people. Children who were comfortable around big dogs got down on the ground with her and she was ecstatic to be held and cuddled. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. As with all of our fosters we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. We do what is best for the pets.
