Chubby was turned into the local shelter along with his two sisters after their owner could no longer afford to care for them. Chubby can be a little shy at first, but warms up to be a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets - 2 or 4 legged, even cats! His two sisters got adopted out rather quickly, Chubby however is the last of the group to open up to people. He is great with the caregivers, and anyone that he knows. When he meets strangers, he tends to freeze up and is very shy. It would take a few weeks in a stable, loving home for him to open up. He is crate trained and appears to be house trained, though we can never say for sure. He is very afraid (at first) of new environments. He is curious and will search the place out but will jump at any noise he hears and tuck his tail. Again, given some time and patience he will open up and be a very nice companion! He would do best in a home with another confident dog, as he gets along with and LOVES other dogs. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. As with all of our fosters we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. We do what is best for the pets.
