Pappa was found as a stray. He was found in pretty poor conditions, we assume someone probably wasn't very nice to him in his lifetime. He is very shy at first but if you have food, you hold the key to his heart. He will warm up very quickly to you if treats are involved, I guess that is the beagle in him! He is sweet and gentle, and very calm. Pappa spent all afternoon curled up in a soft doggy bed under my desk and didn't offer to move once. He likes to be indoors and outdoors soaking up the sun. Pappa gets along just wonderfully with other animals - and would prefer to have one in his new home. At first he has his tail tucked and freezes like a statue, but once he realizes no one is going to hurt him, he gets excited. Other dogs bring him out of his shell a little faster. He is a sweet little man who is ready to spend his the rest of his life with a family! Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. As with all of our fosters we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. We do what is best for the pets.
